➢ Find a quiet place where you can sit comfortably and listen undisturbed.
➢ Notice your breathing. Is it deep or shallow?
➢ Allow it to become calmer by breathing deep into your lower diaphragm.
➢ Allowing your lower abdomen to expand when you breathe in.
➢ Allow your shoulders to drop.
➢ Close your eyes.
➢ Notice your feelings right now.
➢ What has your day been like? How has it influenced how you are feeling now?
➢ Having acknowledged what you are feeling, notice any other sensations within your body.
➢ Don’t try to analyse them, just be aware of them.
➢ Give consideration to any thoughts you may have on feeling sluggish, apathetic or inactive.
➢ Play the first track and try to stay aware of the music.
➢ At the end of the track, take a pause and notice how you are feeling now.
➢ Consider any thoughts you may have on your ambitions and the energy you need to accomplish them.
➢ Play the second track and try to stay aware of the music.
➢ At the end of the track, take a pause and notice how you are feeling now.
➢ Next give consideration to any thoughts you may have on feeling sad or depressed.
➢ Play the third track and try to stay aware of the music.
➢ At the end of the track, take a pause and notice how you are feeling now.
➢ Finally give consideration to any thoughts you may have on feeling optimistic, hopeful and cheerful.
➢ Play the fourth track and try to stay aware of the music.
➢ At the end of the track, take a pause and notice how you are feeling now.
Do not be afraid of following any feelings of depression or sadness.
It is more powerful to be able to acknowledge them rather than deny or quash the feelings.
Balance is created through a mixture of acceptance, positive expectation and creative flow.
